You CAN help the healing process of Cancer and dis-ease.
The diagnosis of an illness, cancer or any kind of disease comes as a devastating shock.
However many survivors will tell you that amongst the fear and confusion they experienced, it was an enlightening time of self discovery, and, without this unfortunate diagnosis, they would not have had the time, desire or need to reflect and observe the way they think, feel and perceive the world around them.
They would not have been able to make small or significant changes that have later become their life savers.
Key to a persons healing process of any illness or disease is to have the ability to keep as relaxed as possible. The doctors take over the process of healing your illness or disease, but the healing process goes much further than curing your physical body. For complete healing to occur it is necessary to focus on, and utilise the mind and body connection.
Dr. Martin L. Rossman, M.D., Co-Founder and Co-Director of the Academy for Guided Imagery and an award-winning author who has been a physician for thirty years, and for twenty-eight of those thirty years, he has used guided imagery to help his patients who have chronic illnesses says the proper way to treat cancer, or any other disease, is to have healing and medicine working together. This would allow the patient to be a healthy person living with cancer. This would also allow him/her to handle the difficult treatments more easily.
In a speech Dr Rothman gave in Ohio, he used the following imagery to demonstrate his point: Imagine a garden. A plant can have mites, spiders, etc. If the plant is not watered properly and has poor soil, pests nibble on it. The plant hasn't been cared for. Then the gardener sprays it with pesticides to rid the plant of pests.
However this is not enough. The gardener must also fertilize and water the plant or else it will be vulnerable again. If the gardener takes care of the plant, it can resist infestations. Always nurture in a proper way.
He says there is something in us that knows how to meet these challenges and repair the damages. It can be called God, life, nature, DNA or whatever works for the person.
Dr. Rossman stressed several times throughout his speech that when people are diagnosed, they need to be as relaxed as humanly possible. Yes, there will be fear at first and this is normal. But relaxed patients, who are in control, stand a much better chance of survival. They feel more committed to the decisions they are making about their treatments, and, very importantly, they are a part of their own medical team.
We quickly and very easily put our faith into our doctors hands to cure the cancer, however it is necessary for us to believe in our own natural abilities of healing. There are wonderful steps we can take that are scientifically proven to compliment and accelerate the healing process .

Education is empowering and freeing, there are many books, classes and support groups designed to inform you more on specific areas of your life such as relationship, sexual intimacy, conflict resolution, finances and nutrition. There are also many specialists and therapists in these fields who provide one on one service.
You may feel a resistance towards seeking guidance and advice, however the more informed you become the better your decisions will be to making your life happier and healthier. Ask for guidance and support from someone who has conquered illness or disease through natural means.
